Spinning
Spinning classes have become popular in gyms recently as a great way to have a quick and vigorous workout, this intensive workout is done on a stationary bike in a studio, which is great for high intense yet low impact workout and burning calories keeping your muscles in shape.
Spinning is a low impact sport because it is non load bearing, this is why it is popular with athletes as you are less likely to pick up an injury even though you will be having a tough workout! After setting up your bike the class starts with a gentle warm up, the instructor then talks you through hill climbs, flat sections and sprints etc! Some classes include upper body and abdominal work. Classes last 30, 45 and even 60 mins & vary in size. The main benefits of a spinning class are it burns fat, builds aerobic strength but does require some coordination.
